YellowJacket Software Inc. is a privately held financial technology firm. The company was formed in 2002 by YellowJacket President and CEO Jacob Pechenik and YellowJacket Chief Technology Officer Greg Campbell.

On Jan. 31, 2008 IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire YellowJacket Software, with the new business to be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of ICE. ICE said it expected to complete its acquisition of YellowJacket in February of 2008. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ICE said the acquisition was not expected to be material to ICE's operating results during the first half of 2008.[1]

YellowJacket operates an electronic trading platform that offers a range of tools including instant communication, negotiation and data focused on the over-the-counter platform. With the platform, traders can aggregate and consolidate fragmented instant message-based communications and transaction details on a single screen. Markets served include weather, natural gas, power and crude oil.[2]
