Ann Dennison is vice president, controller and chief accounting officer at Nasdaq. She has been with Nasdaq since 2015.

On March 1, 2021, Dennis will take over as chief financial officer, succeeding Michael Ptasznik, who will retire at the end of February after four years as CFO.

Background

Starting in 2017, Dennison has led an effort to modernize Nasdaq’s financial and reporting infrastructure, including developing an automation program, according to the Wall Street Journal. Dennison also has overseen the company’s financial planning and analysis.[1]

She has over 19 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis. She previously served at Goldman Sachs as managing director and as head of financial reporting.[2]

She holds a BBA and MBA, Accounting and Finance from Pace University - Lubin School of Business.
