McCoy was responsible for the implementation and enforcement of NYMEX's financial integrity and safeguard systems.
McCoy is the founding member of the futures industry's derivatives clearing organization risk committee and the current chairman.
McCoy holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Fairfield University in Connecticut and is a licensed certified public accountant in the State of New York. He also served as an instructor at the New York Institute of Finance for 15 years where he taught a futures accounting course.
