Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation is a U.S.- based primary silver exploration and mining company, as well as a gold producer.[1] The company is a member of the World Gold Council.[2]

History

The company was founded in 1928 and is based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Products and Services

Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation, along with its subsidiaries, engages in the operation, ownership, exploration, development, and mining of silver and gold properties in South America, Mexico, the United States, and Australia. It also explores for lead and zinc ores.[3]

In 2011, Coeur had its first full year of production and cash flow from three new mines: San Bartolomé in Bolivia; the Palmarejo silver/gold mine in Mexico, and the Kensington Gold Mine in Alaska.

In addition, the company is expecting new production from its Rochester mine in Nevada. Coeur also owns non-operating interest a low-cost mine in Australia, and conducts ongoing exploration activities near its operations in Argentina, Mexico and Alaska.
