Colin Griffith is a director of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), and was formerly chairman and CEO of the organization after joining its parent - the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) - where he remains an executive director.
Griffith has more than 35 years of experience in the precious metals sector, starting in 1970 as a trader for HP Thompson on the London Metal Exchange, and holding positions at Mocatta, Credit Suisse and Standard Bank.
He joined the DMCC in 2003 as director for gold, and was appointed as chairman of the DGCX in January 2005, before relinquishing that role and becoming acting CEO in mid-2007. Malcom Wall Morris was appointed CEO in November of 2007.
