D. Keith Campbell is the founder and chairman of the board of Campbell & Co.

Biography

Keith Campbell founded Campbell & Company in 1972 in Towson, Maryland, and has served as its chairman of the board ever since. He was president until January 1994 and was chief executive officer until January 1998.[1]

The company is a commodity trading advisor with approximately $3.8 billion under management. Campbell was among the first to get a public fund up and running and to educate customers about managed futures.

Since that time, Campbell & Company’s investment products have evolved substantially. Today they provide a broader offering of absolute return strategies, no longer just within the realm of managed futures and foreign exchange. [2]

In 2006, Campbell was inducted into the Futures Industry Association Futures Hall of Fame.[3]

On June 19th, 2013 Campbell received the Pinnacle Achievement Award, given to an individual who has contributed significantly to the advancement and integrity of the managed futures industry, at the annual Managed Futures Pinnacle Awards.[4]

Affiliations

In his spare time, Campbell heads the Campbell Foundation for the Environment, a non-profit corporation dedicated to finding solutions to the environmental problems facing the Chesapeake Bay.
