David Helps is a derivatives professional. Most recently, he was head of business development NASDAQ NLX, a London-based trading and clearing platform for fixed income derivatives.[1] He was appointed to the position in December of 2012, and steered the upstart exchange through its launch in May 2013.[2]

Background

From 2008 until joining NLX in 2012, Helps was head of fixed income business development for NYSE Euronext Liffe, as part of a 25-year career in the derivatives industry. Helps began his career as a Liffe futures and options floor trader before becoming an independent futures trader. He spent nearly 20 years trading European, US and UK bond and interest rate futures.[3]

Helps attended Dulwich College in London, U.K.
