David Helps is a derivatives professional. Most recently, he was head of business development NASDAQ NLX, a London-based trading and clearing platform for fixed income derivatives. He was appointed to the position in December of 2012, and steered the upstart exchange through its launch in May 2013.
From 2008 until joining NLX in 2012, Helps was head of fixed income business development for NYSE Euronext Liffe, as part of a 25-year career in the derivatives industry. Helps began his career as a Liffe futures and options floor trader before becoming an independent futures trader. He spent nearly 20 years trading European, US and UK bond and interest rate futures.
Helps attended Dulwich College in London, U.K.
