Ridgway was previously head of risk, North America for BNY Mellon starting in October 2013.
Before joining BNY Mellon, Ridgway was the interim head of corporate and operational risk for London-based Threadneedle Investments from April to September 2013, where he was responsible for all aspects of corporate and operational risk management. Previously, he was global head of operational risk for BlackRock in New York from November 2009 to March 2013, where he had global responsibility for all aspects of the firm's operational risk management.
He also served as global operational risk director for Barclays Global Investors from November 2006 to October 2009, and as a senior manager for Coopers & Lybrand in London from October 1985 to March 1996.
He holds a BA in Economics from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, and is a Qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of England and Wales.
