Elaine Wyder-Harshman
Elaine Wyder-Harshman is a partner at Convex Legal LLC.[1] She was previously managing partner of The Lens Legal Group, a company she founded.[2] BackgroundFollowing law school, Wyder-Harshman served as an assistant attorney general for the State of Illinois for over seven years, representing state agencies and officials before the Illinois Appellate Court. In 2014, she went into private practice, founding Lifetime Law, LLC, and serving as Of Counsel for Ziliak Law, LLC. In 2016, she left Ziliak Law to found The Lens Legal Group. EducationWyder-Harshman received her JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law. There, she took part in a number of judicial externships in both the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. She also was an active member of the Chicago-Kent Law Moot Court Honor Society (MCHS), winning two competitions and an award for Best Respondent’s Brief. She continues her involvement with MCHS by judging team practices and student competitions, for which she was awarded the Edmund W. Burke Service Award for outstanding alumnus support in 2010. She also does pro bono legal work for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and the affiliated Our Lady of Mercy Legal Clinic. In addition to her law degree, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. Most recently, she studied Spanish at the Chicago satellite campus of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. References
