Eric Gurdian is the chief investment officer for R.J. O'Brien Investment Management.

Previously, he was the treasurer for North America for MF Global Inc., the largest non-bank futures broker.

Background

Previous to MF Global, Gurdian was the global treasurer at Calyon Financial. [1] Prior to that, he served as the vice president and treasurer for North America. He was responsible for directing all investments, managing banking relationships and overseeing all cash and collateral movements. During the merger between Calyon and Fimat, Gurdian oversaw the analysis of the dual treasury services. Gurdian was at Calyon from 1997 - 2004. Before that, Gurdian directed the funding activity for Sanwa bank and Long Term Credit Bank, two Japanese banks located in Chicago. He served as the vice president of treasury and chief customer dealer for nine years.

He began his career at Northern Trust supervising the options and futures settlement area for its Trust Clients and Investment Management Division.

He is a member of the Futures Industry Association, the Association for Financial Professionals and a Certified Cash Manager.

Education

Guridan graduated from Millikin University with a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Economics.
