Erik Müller is an exchange executive who serves as the CEO of Eurex Clearing AG. He took over that role on July 1, 2016. He was previously managing director at Deutsche Boerse Group, Eurex's parent company, responsible for Group Strategy and M&A, Treasury and IR.
Müller has been a member of the executive board of Eurex Clearing AG since April 2013, responsible for Treasury.
As managing director, he has been responsible for corporate strategy and M&A at Deutsche Boerse Group since January 1, 2013. Since the IPO of Deutsche Boerse in 2001, he has been a manager of the Deutsche Boerse Group, and he has been responsible for Group Treasury including all treasury activities of the two bank licensed businesses of Deutsche Boerse Group, Eurex Clearing in Frankfurt and Clearstream in Luxembourg, as well as for investor relations since 2008.
He was a member of the supervisory board of Eurex Clearing AG from October 2010 until March 2013. He joined Deutsche Boerse in 1997.
He holds a dual MBA degree from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany and the Fuqua Business School in North Carolina, USA.
