Similar to Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Exchange Traded Commodities (ETCs) track the performance of an underlying commodity or commodity index.

ETCs, which are traded on the London Stock Exchange[1] or the Deutsche Boerse[2], are traded and settled like like ETFs. They can be based on a single commodity, like gold, or an index with multiple commodities.
