The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) was established on April 1, 1998 under the Office of the Prime Minister by the Act on the Establishment of Financial Supervisory Organizations. It aims to contribute to the growth of the Korean economy by promoting sound credit system and fair practices in the financial industry and by protecting investors and consumers. It provides deliberation and resolution of financial supervision issues and supervises the Financial Supervisory Service. [1]
