Fred J. Joseph is the securities commissioner for the state of Colorado, [1] a position he assumed in 1999. He is responsible for administering the Colorado Securities Act, the Colorado Commodity Code, the Colorado Municipal Bond Supervision Act and the Local Government Investment Pool Trust Fund Administration and Enforcement Act. Joseph also is the current president of the North American Securities Administrators Association. [2]

Background

From 1992 to 1999, Joseph served as deputy securities commissioner. Prior to 1992, he was the deputy commissioner of Financial Services.


Education

Joseph holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Regis University.
