He was in charge of building and leading the FX clearing services in anticipation of mandated clearing from regulators.
Wells was also in charge of CDSClear, the company's credit default swap clearing business, taking over upon the departure of CDSClear CEO Charlie Longden. He joined ForexClear in 2011 as a director and head of product.
Before joining Citigroup in 1993, he served as an officer in Britain's Royal Artillery, where he spent eight years in several theatres including Germany, Northern Ireland, Cyprus and the Persian Gulf. 
Wells earned a commission from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.
