Background

Haase has worked in the futures industry for nearly 30 years. He joined the compliance department of the New York Cotton Exchange in 1979 and rose to assistant treasurer.

In 1986 he began working at the NYCE’s Commodity Clearing Corpora­tion. From 1993 he had been president of the New York Clearing Corporation, and remained president in June 2007, when ICE acquired the NYCC, changing the name of the company to ICE Clear U.S.[2]

For 20 years, Haase was a member of the FIA Futures Services Division, and he was inducted into the FIA Futures Hall of Fame in 2007.
