Gregg Doud is the president of the Commodity Markets Council, a trade association that brings together commodity exchanges with their industry counterparts.[1]

Background

Before joining the Commodity Markets Council as president in May 2013, Doud was a senior staffer on the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee.[2] He also has served as chief economist of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and as an analyst for U.S. Wheat Associates.[3]

Doud's worked with Senate Agriculture Committee member Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) and played an integral role in developing the 2012 Farm Bill.[4]

He has also worked at World Perspectives, Inc., ADM-Agri, LLC and the American Soybean Association.[5]

Doud participated in the MarketsWiki Education World of Opportunity series in New York at Nasdaq in July of 2017.

Education

Doud holds bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Kansas State University and a masters in science in agricultural economics from the same school.
