Jay Feuerstein
Jay Feuerstein is managing director, proprietary trading at Budo Group. Feuerstein was the founder, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of 2100 Xenon Group LLC, the managed futures affiliate of Old Mutual Asset Management.[1] He founded the group in 2001 and was responsible for managing the futures portfolio and directing futures research. Manning & Napier, Inc. acquired 2100 Xenon Group in 2014. Feuerstein has published works in The Journal of Futures Markets, Corporate Finance Review, The Family Office Exchange, the MFA Reporter and Investment News. In addition, he is a frequent industry speaker at events sponsored by such institutions as CME Group and The University of Chicago.
BackgroundFeuerstein was previously CEO and CIO of 2100 Capital Group.[2] He began his investment career in 1981 as one of the earliest traders and arbitrageurs of the financial futures complex. He served as a managing director and principal at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., working with clients in the hedge fund, mutual fund, insurance, and pension areas.[3] Feuerstein served as a senior vice president at Paine Webber Kidder Peabody and a director of global futures sales and marketing for fixed income at Kidder Peabody. He set up and ran the futures trading desk at Drexel Burnham Lambert in the 1980’s.[4] EducationFeuerstein earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1980, and his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana in 1977.[5] MarketsWiki Education
