Jeffrey M. Bandman is a New York based consultant who is a principal in Bandman Advisors. He is the former CFTC fintech advisor and the founding director and architect of LabCFTC. He also served as special counsel to former CFTC Chairman Timothy Massad. He has served in positions at LCH.Clearnet and Cantor Fitzgerald, as well as run his own consulting practice.[1] BackgroundFrom 2010 to 2013, Bandman served as head of partnerships and alliances for LCH.Clearnet Group's SwapClear segment.[2] Between his tenure at SwapClear and joining the CFTC, he focused on his consulting practice, in which he advised market participants such as swap execution facilities, data analytics firms and other derivatives market participants. Before that, he worked on two electronic trading initiatives, serving as interim CEO of Project Rainbow and as acting chief operating officer of LiquidityHub. In the days after the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, Bandman was responsible for the rebuilding of Cantor Fitzgerald's market data business and also served as a senior vice president of the firm's eSpeed division. Earlier in his career he was general counsel at Tullett Prebon. He began his career as an law associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.
