John Savercool is senior lobbyist and managing director at UBS Americas.
Savercool oversees the lobbying, political, and policy advocacy efforts for the investment bank, wealth management and global asset management business units at the federal level. He joined UBS in 2003 as their first full-time senior lobbyist.
Starting in 1982, Savercool spent 17 years working for former U.S. Senator Phil Gramm (TX), the first two years of which Gramm was a U.S. Congressman, representing Texas's sixth district. He performed a variety of roles, including legislative assistant and deputy chief of staff. In 1993, Savercool served as interim chief of staff for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.
