Joseph B. Williams is a partner with diversified business practice law firm McDermott Will & Emery. He is a member of the firm’s Energy and Derivatives Markets Practice Group, where he focuses on energy markets and trading and bankruptcy matters.
In private practice, Williams focused on energy, bankruptcy and general litigation matters. He has experience representing clients in complex energy litigation matters, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) investigations, enforcement proceedings and contract litigation. Additionally, Williams has advised domestic and international clients on various Public Utilities Holding Company Act issues.
While in law school, Joseph served as managing editor of the Syracuse Law Review (2000-2001). He also was a member of the Syracuse Law and Technology Journal and Moot Court Honor Society.
