Joseph Koehnen is analytics business manager at Trading Technologies International, a Chicago-based independent software vendor that develops high-performance trading software for professionals. He was named to the position in January 2016 after a 15-year career at rival ISV CQG, Inc. In his role at TT, Koehnen helps the company further enhance its charting and analytics capabilities.
Koehnen joined CQG in 2000 as a software engineer and, over the course of 15 years, he held a number of positions in data quality, operations and business development. In 2011, he was named director of business development for the firm's Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore. In 2014 he moved back to Chicago to direct product strategy and sales.
Koehnen began his career on the exchange floors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade (now CME Group), where he spent ten years, working his way up from trade support clerk to proprietary trader and exchange member.
In 1990, Koehnen earned a BS in Finance from Butler University.
