K.K. Kodama is a former board member of the Chicago Board of Trade and former chairman of Tokyo Grain Market Research Company.

Biography

K.K. Kodama, an executive at Mitsui Trading Company, retired in 2006 after a long, distinguished career in international finance and futures trading.

Kodama began his career in 1943 with Mitsui Bussan. He transferred to New York in 1967 and two years later moved to Chicago, where he became involved in trading futures.

In 1978 Kodama was named president of Mitsui Bussan USA, and in 1985 he became a board member of the Chicago Board of Trade. After returning to Mitsui Bussan in Tokyo, he later became chairman of Tokyo Grain Market Research Company.

Kodama helped establish FIA Japan in 1988, the first organization of its kind in Asia, and served as its first chairman.

In 2007, he was inducted into the Futures Industry Association Futures Hall of Fame.[1]
