Matthew Hunter is the head of surveillance for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Hunter is filling the position as part of a reorganization at the regulatory agency that began Oct. 9, 2011.[1]

Background

Hunter was previously the deputy director of the CFTC's market and trade practice surveillance branch, division of market oversight.[2]

Prior to his work at the CFTC, Hunter was a senior market adviser for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). [3]
