Michael M. Philipp is a laywer and a partner in Morgan Lewis's iInvestment management and securities industry practice.[1]

Previously, he was a partner with the law firm of Winston & Strawn LLP.[2]


Philipp serves as counsel to domestic and foreign exchanges, investment managers, brokerage firms, and end-users in connection with exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivative instruments.[3] He has represented the foreign exchange and clearing houses in their U.S. offerings of futures and equity options products and derivatives clearing activities.[4]

Previously, Philip was a partner with Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman.[5] He also was an in-house attorney for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he served as counsel to the exchange's regulatory trade practice, compliance, and arbitration committees.[6]


He received a bachelor of arts, with honors, in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago in 1981. He received a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1992.[7]
