Mosaic Smart Data is a London-based fintech company that counts JP Morgan as a minority shareholder. It is offering a real time data analytics platform for the interest rate swap market that it says could reduce trading “fat finger” and other trading losses for investment banks. Banks have traditionally relied on historic analytics for interest rate swaps because of the complexity of the market place.

Mosaic Data said it had already signed up one large bank to its new MSX real time interest rate swap analytics platform and it was in talks with “more than 20 sellside and buyside firms” about launching the technology by the end of 2019.[1]

History

Mosaic launched a real time analytics platform for bonds in October of 2017 and has signed up two customers, according to Hodgson.

Mosaic Smart Data was announced as a winner of Invest Hong Kong’s first ever fintech awards, the UK fintech awards, organised in conjunction with the UK Department for International Trade.[2]
