Dr. Ranjan Bhaduri is a market research executive who is the founder and CEO of Bodhi Research Group, which is focused on research and education in the alternative investments industry.[1]

He was formerly the chief research officer at Sigma Analysis & Management Ltd. in Ontario, Canada from May 2014 to August 2017.[2][3][4]

Previously, he was the chief research officer and global head of research at AlphaMetrix Alternative Investment Advisors. [5][6]

Background

Before joining AlphaMextrix, Bhaduri was vice president at Morgan Stanley, where he conducted due diligence and helped design customized portfolios of alternative investments. Bhaduri has also been involved with fund of funds and the structured finance business. He has worked with two major Canadian investment banks in the Financial Strategy Consulting Group and in the Global Risk Management & Control departments.

Bhaduri is a published author and has been invited to speak worldwide about hedge fund issues as well as advanced portfolio and risk management techniques. He has also taught finance and mathematics at several universities and guest lectured about derivatives for the Montreal Exchange.

Bhaduri is a member of the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Association of America, the Toronto CFA Society, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He holds the CFA and CAIA charters.

Education

Bhaduri attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1992 - 1999, where he received a Ph.D. in Mathematics. He also received a Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Combinatory and Optimization from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA in Finance and International Business from McMaster University in 2002.
