Scott Branch is currently president of INTL FCStone Inc., a financial-services firm that provides trading, exchange, and OTC execution and clearing services for commodities (primarily base metals, precious metals, and grains) and foreign currencies. He will step down from that position in October 2015 and then retire from the company on Dec. 31, 2016.
He will remain on FCStone's board of directors and "continue to hold himself available for appointment as a director" through at least 2020, the company said.
Branch, formerly the chief operating officer of the company, was named president in May 2013, replacing Pete Anderson, who retired in October 2012.
Branch joined International Assets in 2002 as president. International Assets merged with FCStone in September of 2009 and Branch moved to chief operating officer of the combined company.
Before joining International Assets, he was general manager of Standard Bank London, Ltd.
