Scott Cooley is a long-time investment management executive. He most recently was chief financial officer with Morningstar Inc.[1]

Background

Cooley worked at Morningstar 17 years ago as a stock analyst and has held various positions over the years.

Before joining Morningstar, Cooley was a bank examiner of Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where he focused on credit analysis and asset-backed securities. He served as the lead fund analyst for Fidelity, Vanguard, and Oakmark funds. He served as co-chief executive officer of Andrew Bird since July 2006.

Education

Cooley has a bachelor's degree in Economics and Social Science and a Master's degree in History from Illinois State University.[2][3]
