Scott Hess founded G&H Commodities in 1985, where he is also oil trader. Hess has held various leadership roles on Exchange Boards of Directors including NYMEX and the Dubai Mercantile Exchange as well as associations such as the Commodity Floor Brokers and Traders Association (CFBTA). He is currently the treasurer of the CFBTA. [1]

Background

He has spent more than 23 years on the NYMEX floor trading heating oil and platinum. He has held a seat at the Exchange since 1986 and a board seat since 1997. He was also one of the founding members and held a board seat at the Dubai Mercantile Exchange. Hess was on the COMEX Governors Committee from 2001-2002. [2]

Education

Hess graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. He went on to graduate from Pace University with an MBA and a concentration in marketing.
