Steffen Parratt is chief financial officer at KCG Holdings.
He took over the role in January 2015 from Sean Galvin, the firm's acting interim CFO, who returned to his role as chief accounting officer.
Parratt has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries. He was most recently an entrepreneur who launched ventures in finance, management, and strategy with a focus on developing software to achieve efficiency. Before that, he was a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he helped to integrate Merrill Lynch, U.S. Trust and the legacy Bank of America wealth business.
He also spent more than a decade at Citigroup Inc. in a number of leadership roles, most recently as managing director and global staff functions task leader, in its Reengineering and Productivity Group.
In 1985, Parratt earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He continued on at the university to earn a Master's degree in electrical engineering. Parratt then attended Cornell University, where he earned an MS and a Ph.D. in Engineering.
In 1998, he earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
