Steve Sparke is the chief operating officer of Marex Financial, a London based futures broker.[1][2]

Sparke's career spans 27 years in the UK financial-services industry, primarily in interest rate trading and futures and options brokerage. In 2008, he lead an FOA inquiry on the advantages and disadvantages of exchange-integrated clearing.[5]

He currently holds a number of executive and non-executive directorships, including Euronext.Liffe where he chairs the audit and risk committee, and Patsystems.[6] He is also a special advisor for the Futures Industry Association (FIA) board directors [7] and a member of the CFTC Global Markets Advisory Committee.[8] [9]

Sparke graduated with a law degree from Nottingham University in 1979.
