Stuart Williams is president of ICE Futures Europe. He was appointed to the role in October 2017.

As president, he succeeded David Peniket[1][2]

Prior to that, he served as COO of the exchange, from July 15, 2016. He also served as director of corporate development at ICE Futures Europe.

Background

As COO of ICE Futures Europe, William’s responsibilities involved the implementation of Mifid II/Mifir requirements for the European exchange, including the open access rules.[3]

Williams served as head of architecture and business development for NYSE Euronext prior to its takeover by ICE. He worked on the transition of Liffe’s trading and clearing operations to ICE Futures Europe and ICE Clear Europe following the announced acquisition in December 2013. Before NYSE Euronext, he was a consultant at firms including Protiviti and Accenture, focused on exchange clients.[4]
