Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets

The Subcommitte on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets is a new subcommittee of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Agricultural Advisory Committee. The purpose of the subcommittee is to identify the causes of poor cash-futures convergence in certain agricultural commodity markets. They will also be asked to advise on a remedy for the situation. [1] CFTC Chief Economist Jeffrey Harris will chair the subcommittee, which will report its findings and recommendations to the CFTC Agricultural Advisory Committee.
