Thomas G. McCabe is chief operating officer of OneChicago. He was named to the position in mid-January 2008, replacing Robert Walsh.  Previously, he was a vice president of trading operations and quality assurance for CME Group.
McCabe began his career at the CBOT in the Office of Investigations and Audits from 1985 to 1998. He was managing director of order routing at the CBOT from 1998 to 2001 where he spearheaded the introduction and use of automated order routing technology to route orders to brokers in the CBOT trading pits. During his tenure in the order routing area, system utilization increased from 5 percent of order flow to more than 90 percent.
As vice president of floor business at the CBOT from 2001 to 2005, McCabe helped migrate the CBOT's clearing business from the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation to the CME Clearing, commonly referred to as the Common Clearing Link. As head of floor business, he led global operations for the Chicago Board of Trade, responsible for staffing, technology, physical infrastructure and the first-level help desk.
He is a member of the Futures Industry Association.
McCabe holds a B.S.B.A in finance from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
