Arthur Pinheiro Machado is chief operating officer and a member of the board of directors of Americas Trading Group, a Rio de Janeiro-based platform for electronic order execution that consolidates and manages connections between brokers, end customers and stock exchanges in Latin America.[1] In this role, he is responsible for the implementation of the company's business strategy.

He also writes a blog, Apertis Verbis, in which he comments on topics related to finance and economics, with a focus on electronic markets.[2]


Prior to his role at ATG, Machado was a partner and member of the executive committee at Agora Brokerage until its sale to Banco Bradesco in 2008.[3]


Machado holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and also earned an MBA in Finance as well as an MSc in Mathematical Methods for Finance.
