Peter Forlenza is the head of the equities division for UBS in North and South America. His appointment by UBS, which had undergone changes in its ranks as the firm recovered from a rogue trading scandal in September 2011, was a recruitment from the approximately 2,800 former employees of MF Global, which filed for bankruptcy protection Oct. 31, 2011. Forlenza is based in New York reports to Mike Stewart, global head of equities.
He was previously global head of equities with MF Global Holdings Ltd. for two years beginning in October 2009.
Forlenza was previously Bank of America's global head of equities and founded the macro hedge fund Outpost Investment Group in December 2007. He began his career in banking at Salomon Brothers in 1988.
