Taraneh Derayati is vice president, market technology, at Nasdaq. She was previously head of sales at Cinnober when it was purchased by Nasdaq.

At Cinnober, she was responsible for sales on the firm's exchange and clearing technology to exchanges and clearinghouses around the globe. She was promoted to the post in March 2018.[1]

She succeeded Ulf Axman, who moved to a senior advisor role with the company.

Before taking on the head of sales position, she worked on several large client projects, including Cinnober's deal with the Japan Exchange Group to deliver a new clearing system. That project was completed in February 2018.

She joined Cinnober in 2009, serving as a business analyst and project manager.

Derayati earned a civil engineering degree in industrial management, with a MSc in financial mathematics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
