Andres Irlando is president of Zayo Group, a position he assumed in 2021. Irlando is experienced as both a senior executive and commercial leader in the communications and infrastructure industry.[1]

Background[edit]

Prior to Zayo, Irlando spent 15 years at Verizon where he held leadership roles in sales, customer service, product development, operations and public policy. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and president of Public Sector and Verizon Connect within Verizon Business, and as ceo of Verizon Connect. Before joining Verizon in 2005, Irlando served as president of the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation, from 2000 to 2004.[2] From 1999 to 2007, he served as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Irlando is currently a member of the Boards of Trustees of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Chapman University.[3] He also is a member of the Board of Directors of Genuine Cable Group.

Education[edit]

Irlando earned a bachelors degree from Harvard and his doctor of jurisprudence from Stanford Law School, where he was a member of Law Review.[4]
