Ballista Holdings is the parent broker-dealer of Ballista Securities. It was created in early 2007.
The firm specializes in the execution of institutional options trading, especially delta-neutral strategies with both stock and option components and block trades. In October 2008, Ballista Securities launched an options trading platform that offers traders access to displayed and non-displayed liquidity from market makers, banks and hedge funds.[1]

Ballista Holdings received a minority investment from Morgan Stanley, International Securities Exchange, Susquehanna Growth Equity and Knight Capital Group on June 9, 2009.[2]
