Brian Gelfand is a Montreal-based exchange and consulting executive who serves as a senior advisor to EY.

Previously, he was vice president and chief regulatory officer for the TMX Montreal Exchange.

Also, he was vice president of institutional relations and market operations where he was responsible for market access, connectivity and market operations and for managing relationships with worldwide clients.

Before joining the exchange, Gelfand was special advisor to the secretary general of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).^[1]

Gelfand holds a B.A., BCL and LLB degrees from McGill University and an M.A. in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University.
