Brookly McLaughlin is vice president, corporate affairs & sustainability at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). She returned to ICE, where she had previously worked as communications manager, in January of 2017, after a little more than a year at Magnetar Capital.

She is based in ICE's Chicago office.[1] McLaughlin started at ICE when it acquired the Chicago Climate Exchange and its subsidiary the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange in 2010.[2]


Before starting at the Chicago Climate Exchange in 2009, McLaughlin worked for five years at the U.S. Department of Treasury under Secretaries Henry Paulson, Jr. and John Snow. As deputy assistant secretary for public affairs, McLaughlin was responsible for developing and implementing communications strategy on a broad range of Treasury issues including the economy, domestic finance, and international affairs.

Prior to the Treasury Department, McLaughlin spent five years with the U.S. House Financial Services Committee where she was assistant communications director.[3]

McLaughlin is also a member of the Women In Listed Derivatives' Board of Directors. [4]


McLaughlin earned a BA in journalism and mass communications at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.[5]
