Bytecoin (BCN) was the 43rd largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization as of May 15, 2019, according to CoinMarketCap, an online industry data aggregator.[1]
First developed in 2012, Bytecoin was the first cryptocurrency based on the cryptonote application layer which later was also used in privacy coins like Monero and Dash.[2] [3] Cryptonote technology is known for providing both untraceable incoming transactions and unlinkable outgoing transactions.[4]
