Carlton Jones
Carlton Jones is executive vice president, head of trading, at Allston Trading, a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm specializing in high-frequency trading in the energy, commodity and financial futures markets.[1] [2] Background[edit]Jones joined Allston as a trader in 2003. In 2005 he was promoted to desk manager in its fixed income division, eventually adding group manager for its equity and equity index products to his title. In 2008 he was named the head of its London office, and later that year was named head of trading.[3] In 2010, Jones was appointed president and CEO. In 2012, Allston hired Raj Mahajan as its CEO, and at the time elevated Jones to the chairman position. When Mahajan left the firm in early 2015, Jones re-assumed the CEO post.[4] Education[edit]Jones holds a bachelor of science in mathematics from Morehouse College.[5] Earlier in his career, Jones traded for his own account and also worked in telecommunications and computer networking.
