Johnson is a member of the Group's Executive Committee and chair of FTSE International Limited.
In 2016, she was named "In-house Counsel of the Year - Market Infrastructure" by Financial News for her leadership during LSEG's proposed merger with German exchange Deutsche Börse. She also managed the legal challenges of the acquisition of Frank Russell Company in 2014 and the resulting sale of Russell Investments in 2015.
Johnson joined LSEG in 1996 and has been global general counsel since 2012, when she was promoted from director, legal and regulatory strategy. She had been in that position since 2010. Prior to 2010, she was head of the legal department. She has also served as head of regulatory strategy, head of market supervision and as a regulatory analyst.
While working for Herbert Smith, Johnson qualified as a lawyer. She served as an assistant corporate solicitor for the firm, as well as trainee solicitor.
