Charlie Walker
Charlie Walker was appointed deputy chief executive officer of the London Stock Exchange, where he will support the daily running of the exchange and oversee the LSEG’s primary markets business. He joined LSEG in 2018 and served as head of equity and fixed income primary markets.[1] He will continue to report to Julia Hoggett, the chief executive of LSE. He will also join the firm's board, as long as regulators do not object.[2] Background[edit]Before joining LSEG, Walker was part of JP Morgan Cazenove’s equity capital markets team, where he was responsible for originating and executing equity transactions. While at JPMC, he assisted in raising more than £45bn of equity capital across five continents on behalf of clients. He also worked in Sydney raising capital for companies on the Australian Stock Exchange and took primary responsibility for the South African equity capital markets practice.[3] Education[edit]Walker earned a Master of Philosophy in Management from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Exeter.
