The Connecticut Hedge Fund Association (CTHFA) is a not for profit educational association for Connecticut’s growing absolute return investment management industry.
Connecticut is home to many of the world's largest hedge fund and alternative investment management firms. In a recent Institutional Investor survey, Connecticut was listed as the home of 17 of the world's top 100 hedge funds. Connecticut also has about 1/3 of the global hedge fund assets under management.[1]
CTHFA's primary mission is to promote better understanding between hedge fund managers and institutional investors; its board is made up of representatives from the major constituency groups within those categories.[2]
History[edit]
CTHFA came out of a networking group of Connecticut based alumni from one of the most well-known investment banks.
