Data Transmission Network (DTN) is a US-based provider of news, weather, real-time market data and trading services for the agricultural and refined fuels sectors, used by professional and individual traders.
History[edit]
In 2008, Telvent acquired DTN Holding Company, Inc., a leading information services provider to the agriculture, energy, trading and weather industries, which included The Progressive Farmer. Telvent is a global IT solutions and information services provider for the energy, transportation, agriculture and environment sectors.
On September 1, 2011, Schneider Electric acquired Telvent to strengthen Schneider's software and IT capabilities in its energy and process management services.[1]
