Dan Draper Occupation Chief Executive Officer Employer S&P Dow Jones Indices Dan Draper is the CEO of S&P Dow Jones Indices effective June 15, 2020. He will replace Alexander Matturri, who is retiring after 13 years of leading the index business. Draper reports to Douglas Peterson, the president and CEO of S&P Global. He will also serve on the company's operating committee. He will be based at S&P Global's headquarters in New York City. Background Draper joined S&P Global from Invesco Distributors Inc., where he was managing director and global head of exchange traded funds. During his 27-year career, he has held roles in asset management, wealth management, and investment banking in Chicago, Hong Kong, Jakarta, London, and New York. He held senior roles with a number of ETF issuers, including Credit Suisse, Lyxor and iShares (when it was owned by Barclays Global Investors). He spent 13 years at BNY Mellon between 1987 and 2000 before joining Deutsche Asset Management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder and holds the Chartered Market Technician, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, Certified Financial Planner, and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He is also a Finance Leaders Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN). Education Draper earned an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in economics from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He is a chartered director and fellow at the Institute of Directors in the UK and a board leadership fellow at the National Association of Corporate Directors in the US. References
