David S. Goone
David S. Goone is Chicago-based exchange and technology executive who is the CEO of tZERO, which operates as an SEC-regulated alternative trading system (ATS) and broker-dealer in the digital asset space. 
He is also a consultant to Jeffrey Sprecher at Intercontinental Exchange, where Goone was a longtime employee and most recently chief strategy officer. Goone assumed the role of CEO of tZERO in February of 2022 when ICE made a strategic investment in the technology firm.
Goone represented ICE on industry boards including the OCC, the National Futures Association and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Additionally, he is a director of Maroon Holding LLC, the governing Board of MERSCORP Holdings, Inc., where ICE has a majority ownership interest. He is also vice chairman of the board of Cetip, a publicly traded company in Brazil in which ICE is a minority shareholder.
He is also a member of the CFTC Global Markets Advisory Committee.
Before joining ICE, Goone was the managing director, product development and sales at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) where he worked for nine years. From 1989 through 1992, Goone was vice president at Indosuez Carr Futures, where he developed institutional and corporate business.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
